For years I struggled with my weight. I tried everything you could possibly imagine to battle weight gain, to battle the stereotypes and stigmas that come along with someone who struggles with obesity. I had a life-saving hysterectomy in 2019 and unfortunately gained even more weight after surgery. I was on a regimen of blood pressure, cholesterol and sleep meds. I was supported every step of the way. I now have a new understanding that obesity is a disease, and not an excuse that society often tries to tell us to believe. Through his team, I have been coached on how to successfully use my new tool, eat well, move my body and celebrate every win.
